Restorative Justice
A response to crime that focuses on restoring the losses suffered by
victims, holding offenders accountable for the harm they have
caused, and building peace within communities.

Mission Statement: The purpose of R.E.S.T.O.R.E is to enable offenders to make real amends to their victims and the community while they are encouraged and supported to understand, accept, and carry out their obligations as active participants in reparation.

Community Based Projects: R.E.S.T.O.R.E assists organizations by providing groups of community service workers for their projects. We provide supervision and mentor youth in projects based throughout the community.

Community Service: Convicted offenders are placed in unpaid positions to serve a specific number of hours to pay back their debt to society.

T.R.A.I.T. (Theft Reduction & Accountability In Thinking) T.R.A.I.T. is offered to both juveniles and adults in separate sessions. Emphasis will be given on how theft/shoplifting can be prevented, how it effects the economy, consumer, and retailer and why people steal.

Misdemeanor Probation: Provides direct supervision of individuals placed on court ordered misdemeanor probation with R.E.S.T.O.R.E

Evaluation Monitoring Program: R.E.S.T.O.R.E  assists and monitors offenders who are court ordered to receive an evaluation and follow through with treatment recommendations. During this process, R.E.S.T.O.R.E reports compliance, or lack of, to the Court or appropriate agency.

Domestic Violence Inventory Assessments: R.E.S.T.O.R.E provides assessments to domestic violence offenders and refers them to an appropriate treatment agency. During this process, R.E.S.T.O.R.E monitors treatment progress and reports performance to the Court or appropriate agency.

R.E.S.T.O.R.E currently works with numerous non-profit, city, state, and /or government agencies in the Fargo-Moorhead and surrounding communities. We currently work with approximately 75+ work sites that allow our clients to fulfill their community service requirements.
