Mission Statement: To provide community involvement in organizing and establishing community based sentencing alternatives for individuals when arrested, imprisoned or released from incarceration in an effort to gain and retain self-respecting and crime free lifestyles. Community Service Program: Convicted offenders are placed in unpaid positions to serve a specific number of hours in the community at nonprofit and government agencies. Work Program: Offenders are placed with an agency to "work off" their fees, fines, or court costs. Although monetary value never changes hands, offenders will receive credit at a set rate per hour for every hour worked. Referral Agencies: District Courts (8 counties), Juvenile Court (formal and informal), Sunrise Youth Bureau, Division of Juvenile Services, Dickinson Municipal Court, and other agencies. Program
